BANDS EVOLVE QUIT HATING ON CREATIVITY
Keep doing your thing NYD!! NICE ALBUM!
I’m reality new to NYD
So… the reason I checked this band out is is one of the songs was co-produced by WWE’s music group (cfo$) and I bought this album and I love every song but “Unbreakable” speaks volumes to me because I had a near death experience a few years ago and my spirit never broke and I am definitely check out some of their older work. I want to see how they have evolved.
This Ain’t It, Chief
This band had so much potential in the beginning. Someone said it best when they described this as “black licorice and bubble gum.” Studio production effects don’t make up for what this band seemingly lacks.
Unfortunately their target audience seems to be tweens who can’t afford to go to shows on a babysitter’s pay. I had such high hopes for this band in the beginning and they have had every opportunity to make a huge impression on new audiences given the headliners they have opened up for, but their performance and first impressions to new, potential fans is lack luster with their song sets. They just can’t seem to close the deal. This was an easy pass, as well as any headline shows.
ITM gave them a great opportunity and they squandered it, big time.
This one is a no go for me
I love nyd and was so excited for this new release but this album isn’t for me. Musically yes they have changed, but I love it and think it’s very well done. The lyrics make this album fall through the cracks for me. My teenage self prob would’ve been into it, but the lyrics sound a bit immature and uncreative. The last couple of songs are the only ones I’ll keep listening to, my monsters should def be a single! Still love nyd though and look forward to their next album.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM SOOOO MUCH ITS AMAZING!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO IT AND HAVE THEIR EARS BLESSED!!!
NYD does it again!!!
From the “In This Moment” sound of “Come For Me” to the very up beat and just all around killer rock song “Break My Body” to the Halloween party song “Nocturnal” which is old school NYD, this album is amazingly well put together and to quote Ash Costello “wrapped up perfectly with the bow that is “I Survived”” In my honest opinion this album is probably the best they have produced as a whole. “Victim To Villain” and “Malevolence” are great albums but “Unbreakable” is probably the most diverse, as in I believe this album will grow the NYD fan base more than the previous albums did. I personally like the songs “Break My Body” and “Done With You” most off of this album and my least favorite would probably be “Shut Up” which don’t get me wrong is a great song, but it just isn’t my favorite.

Loving “Come for Me” and “MissUnderstood” I need to listen to the rest of it I love it so far. One of my favorite Rock albums of this year
i love NYD so much
but this is just...okay. there are some of their best songs on here, and honestly each song sounds great musically. but some songs the lyrics just fall short. a lot. it's not a bad album, i just wish some songs felt stronger lyrically. its too literal and not enough metaphors (especially MissUnderstood that was just bad).
Like chill people. NYD is one of the only bands I heard of who can actually pull off this EDM-Nu metal sound. I personally think this album is amazing and emotional. But sure hate all you want, but say it to Ash's face when you talk about her.
