A new favorite
This is my favorite new album, from the title track to The Champion; I love the great mix of upbeat to the mellow songs that just speak to you from there first note to the last. Great Album all around
Haven’t listened yet.
I haven’t even heard one song yet but I bought the album. I have all of her albums and never regretted buying one. So I grabbed this one immediately.
Carrie at her finest!
Carrie delivers another amazing album! The songs are incredible! Carrie’s vocals - PHENOMENAL! Carrie takes her listeners on an emotional journey, pouring her heart and soul in each song. BRAVO, Carrie!!
Back to some raw country roots!
I am obsessed and it’s on repeat! The song writing is stellar and of course it’s the voice of Carrie hat makes it perfection. It’s just soooo good!
This is a strange album
It’s almost as if two different people are singing these songs. Listen to Ghosts on the Stereo - sounds country. Then listen to Backsliding and Southbound - definitely Pop. Just not consistent enough for me. Decide do you want to be a country singer - then sing country and stay out of the pop genre. Good voice bad songs
All the songs are great but Spinning Bottles is so strong. Not just a tale of addiction for couples but applicable to all those (parents, siblings) who wait anxiously to hear, who wait to help. Truly moving!
Cry Pretty? No thanks!
"Cry Pretty (the song)" is awful. I just don't get it. It's not a good song. Personally I feel like her music has just gotten worse over the years. Ouch.....
I liked The Bullet the best on this album because it spoke the loudest to me. It is a song so full of truth for the ones (and there are so many) this scenario effects. The songs Ghosts on the Stereo & Cry Pretty were my next favorites! I guess the only one I was not super happy with was this rendition of The Champion.
Not what I was hoping for very slow and just not a fun album
